Who We Are
Founded in 1998 in Artane, Dublin 5, Dolmen Insurance Brokers was established to serve a community that had previously lacked access to local insurance brokers. Starting with just two staff members, the company quickly gained traction and grew alongside its customers’ needs.
Our Growth Journey
- 2001: We acquired Rooney Insurances of Swords (formerly NRG). This strategic move expanded our customer base and added valuable expertise to our team.
- 2015: We embraced specialisation by purchasing CUSafe, a brokerage renowned for serving Credit Union members, consolidating our range of targeted insurance solutions.
- Over time, we launched Dolmen Underwriting (in 2006), our own wholesale and underwriting platform, offering nearly 20 unique products, including campervan, cyber liability, marine transit, and more.

Today, Dolmen is a thriving, multicultural business with over 100 team members spread across offices in Tullow, Cork, Dublin, and Newry. From humble beginnings, we’ve grown into one of Ireland’s trusted insurance brokers—still guided by the same values of trust, care, and expertise.
