A message from Joe Doyle
‘‘We always believed there was an opportunity for self-employed tradesmen and the small operator to get a better deal all round on their insurance by pooling their buying power and being treated as a network. We would like you to consider doing your insurance business with Dolmen Insurance Brokers.’’
– Joe Doyle
Joe Doyle acts solely as an introducer of clients to Dolmen Insurance Brokers. All insurance advice, recommendations and regulated insurance services are provided exclusively by Dolmen Insurance Brokers. Any recommendations made by Dolmen Insurance Brokers will be based on your individual circumstances and the information available to us at the time of our review.
What is an Agency Transfer?
By now, you’ve spoken with Joe Doyle’s team and have been introduced to Dolmen Insurance Brokers. If you’ve decided you’d like Dolmen to become your appointed insurance broker, the next step is to complete an Agency Transfer.
An Agency Transfer is a simple authorisation that appoints Dolmen Insurance Brokers as your insurance broker for your existing insurance policy. It allows us to communicate with your current insurer or broker and manage your insurance on your behalf.
Completing an Agency Transfer does not automatically change your insurance policy or alter your level of cover. Once your mandate has been accepted by us, we are then authorised to act as your broker, receiving both commission from your current insurer and any fees payable by you.
There is no cost to complete an Agency Transfer.
What happens after I complete the mandate?
Once your Agency Transfer has been received, you will then be a client of Dolmen Insurance Brokers. One of our commercial insurance specialists will review the insurance documentation and information available to us to gain a clear understanding of your current insurance arrangements. This may include your policy schedule, policy documentation, endorsements and other relevant information relating to your insurance.
Our aim is to understand how your business is currently insured before making any recommendations.
If we identify anything that needs attention
During our review, we may identify areas where your insurance no longer reflects your business as it operates today. For example, your business may have grown, your activities may have changed, or there may be areas where additional protection should be considered.
If this happens, we’ll contact you to explain what we’ve found, why it’s important, and the options available to you. We’ll always discuss our recommendations with you before any changes are made to your insurance arrangements. Please note that any changes may result in an additional premium, revised policy terms and conditions, or, where appropriate, the cancellation of your existing policy and the arrangement of a new one.
If your current insurance is appropriate
If, following our review, your existing insurance arrangements appear suitable for your business, we’ll continue to act as your appointed insurance broker and provide ongoing advice and support throughout the life of your policy.
Whether it’s helping at renewal, answering questions during the year or assisting with a claim, our team will be here when you need us.
What happens next?
- Complete your secure Agency Transfer Mandate.
- Dolmen Insurance Brokers receives your authorisation.
- We obtain the relevant information relating to your existing insurance arrangements.
- One of our commercial insurance specialists reviews your insurance.
- If we have any recommendations or questions, we’ll contact you to discuss them.
- We’ll continue to support you as your appointed insurance broker.
